Managing Director, Manager Research & Evaluation

Jack joined Hurricane in August 2023 as a Managing Director of Research and Investments. In that role, Jack manages the research process for the selection and monitoring of the investments for the multi-strategy funds. Jack works closely with the CIO in the evaluation of portfolio managers, the sizing of capital allocations and the monitoring of the risks of the funds. Previously, Jack spent nearly fourteen years at North Rock Capital Management and its affiliate Lighthouse Partners. There he had a similar role evaluating and monitoring portfolio managers, most recently as a Director of Investments. Before that, Jack worked for three years at GAM Investments as an Investment Analyst evaluating hedge funds for their fund of hedge funds portfolios. He was also a proprietary trader and analyst in relative value strategies for 5 years at Bank of America and Severn River Capital. Jack earned a B.S. in the Interdepartmental Major of Policy Analysis from Cornell University and a Master of Public Policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
